Do I need a printer or special hardware?
No. eato runs on any browser — phone, tablet, laptop, the machine you already own. If you want to print tickets, we support any AirPrint or standard network printer, but it's optional.
How does payment work?
Guests settle at the table — by cash, card, or your preferred processor. We don't lock you into a payment vendor. First-party Stripe and local gateways are on the roadmap.
Can I migrate from Poster or iiko?
Yes. Send us your menu export — CSV, JSON, even a screenshot of the PDF menu — and we'll get you live in a day. Free while we're in beta.
Where does my data live?
In your tenant, on our servers, with you holding the export key. Full JSON export on request, daily backups, GDPR-aware. You never have to beg for your own data.
What if my internet goes out?
The guest menu is cached and works offline — guests still browse, the cart still holds. POS fully offline support is a 2026 Q3 roadmap item.
How do I get support?
